5 burning questions heading into UFC on ESPN+ 32
The UFC springs right back to action Saturday night, with a second straight weekend event on home turf at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas for UFC on ESPN+ 32.
Like a fair number of cards put together on the fly as the company catches up from time lost due to the stoppage related to the coronavirus pandemic, UFC on ESPN+ 32 isn’t quite the deepest offering in company history. But also like the rest, there are also enough intriguing matchups to make the event worth your while anyway.
That includes a super interesting heavyweight main event between Derrick Lewis and Aleksei Oleinik. Is it the most consequential 265-pound fight the UFC can make? No. But it’s an interesting enough stylistic matchup on it’s own to make for a fun spectacle.
The co-feature bout marks former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman’s return to the division he once dominated, as he takes on Omari Akhmedov, an under-the-radar competitor getting his big moment.
UFC on ESPN+32 takes place Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The card streams on ESPN+.
