San Jose: Man injured in overnight shooting near hotel
SAN JOSE — A man was injured in an overnight shooting at a hotel north of Japantown, police said.
At around 2:40 a.m. Saturday, San Jose police officers were called to the Hedding Inn, located at the corner of East Hedding and North 13th streets, for a report of a person shot, according to Officer Gina Tepoorten.
However, officers could not find a victim. A short while later, a man arrived at a nearby hospital suffering from at least one gunshot wound who officers determined was the victim.
He is expected to survive; an update on his condition was not immediately available Saturday.
No suspects have been identified or taken into custody, Tepoorten said.
