Yada and Fuji make weight for the main event in Hirakata
Tomorrow at the City Sogo Gym in Hirakata we'll see former Japanese Welterweight champion Ryota Yada (19-6, 16) [矢田良太] return to the ring for his first bout since his epic war with Yuki Beppu last year.
The hard hitting Yada, who lost that war with Beppu, will be up against Takuya Fuji (7-5, 3) [藤井 拓也] in the main event of the Green Tsuda promoted "Crash Boxing Vol 20 in Hirakata".
Although the match up isn't the most competitive looking on paper the bout is a very notable one. It's not only Yada's first one since that war, and he enters with a lot of questions following that bout. It's also will also see him fighting in Hirakata, the place where he was born, for the first time since he defended the Japanese title there almost 2 years ago.
As for Fuji the bout in Hirakata is a unique experience and he has told Boxmob that he has never fought in a rural area like it before, though was relieved when he got there. He's looking at this bout as a chance to continue the find run of form fighters from the Misako have been having and knows a win here would put him in the Japanese rankings.
On the scales both men were 146.4lbs, comfortably under the 147lb Welterweight limit.
