NASCAR: 2020 Consumers Energy 400 at Michigan starting lineup

Kevin Harvick dominated the first of two races at Michigan this weekend, winning all three stages on Saturday to pick up his fifth win of the season, but can he pull off a sweep?

There will be no practice session or qualifying sessions at Michigan, per NASCAR’s new protocol to limit activities at the track during the coronavirus pandemic.

To determine the starting order, the top 20 finishers from Saturday’s race were inverted, which gives Chris Buescher the pole position. Drivers who finished outside the top 20 will start Sunday’s race as they finished.

NASCAR’s new formula for determining the starting lineup will not be used until the race at the Daytona road course next weekend.

The 2020 Consumers Energy 400 at Michigan will begin at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN on Sunday.

Note: The race is advertised as a 400-miler, but it’s actually shorter. Both races at Michigan will be 156 laps, or 312 miles.
