Caitlyn Jenner Says Kanye Has 'Great Heart' & Wishes HIm 'The Best' In Presidential Run
Kanye West has not had it easy lately but to make matters even more difficult he has decided to run for president! However, despite huge critical backlash in reaction to this decision, Caitlyn Jenner has spoken up to give him some support.
Earlier this year, Kanye announced that he would be running for office and critics are circling like sharks to point out the litany of problems regarding Kanye's candidacy. The most logical reasoning behind these pundits assertions is the fact that he has a severe track record of causing political chaos. He carries a long record of doing things such as stealing the microphone from Taylor Swift during her VMA award speech to proclaim to the audience that Beyonce instead "had one of the greatest videos of all time!" He also has made poor choices in judgement such as commenting that "slavery was a choice" or initially expressing support for Donald Trump through the majority of his presidency only now to distance himself from that affiliation. As a result, he has dealt with accusations of political sabotage by distracting the public from voting on perceived serious candidates. However, Jenner may have something to say to those accusations.
In an interview with People, Jenner states, "She has not had the time to catch up with Kanye" but in regards to his presidential bid "she wishes him the best." She also added,"The only thing I can talk about is really how he treated me through everything and he has been the most kind, loving human being and so good to me throughout the years and especially going through everything I've been going through in the last five years, he's been such a good friend." Caitlyn has certainly overcome many obstacles in the past and for her to endorse Kanye in this way speaks leagues about his character.
Perhaps, the public should lay off of Kanye for a bit. Reports have surfaced that he is suffering from manic bi-polar disorder attacks which may be an explanation for his current and past eccentric behavior. If this is true, it is certainly amazing the mental obstacles that Kanye has overcome to get to the position he is now in life. While suffering with mental illness, he has become one of the most influential musical talents of all time, has single-handily brought up and facilitated the success of world class artists such as Kid Cudi and Common, and he produced arguably the highest profitable apparel line of all time surpassing Michael Jordan in the process. Simply put, he is an inspiration to all others suffering from similar mental health issues.
Additionally, the people closest to Kanye should know his real personality and act accordingly. With comments like this coming from Caitlyn, as well as Kim's recent willingness to accept and forgive him for his most recent outbursts, then maybe the media should rather judge him based on that. It's easy to become a target while not being fully understood when one lives in the public scrutiny that Kanye does. In fact, simply judging from his outstanding past successes, it may just be his mental illness that holds him back from possibly being a serious presidential candidate. Nonetheless, it should be stressed that voters need to make sure to show up and vote responsibly on election day.
