Both women had been classmates at Carlisle High School, from which they graduated from in 2014.

Parmelee, who was a nursing student at Harrisburg Area Community College, gave birth to Anderson’s baby boy in March. She and Anderson also had a daughter, according to her obituary.

Anderson initially told detectives that Parmelee had followed him to Lyons’ home where the two of them had an argument. He said he went outside to smoke when he heard a gunshot come from inside the home.

Anderson then said he saw Parmelee’s body on the couch next to his and Lyons’ 14-month-old son and quickly ran to his mother’s home where he told her to call 911.

Evidence at the scene indicated Parmelee’s death wasn’t a suicide, detectives said.

A review of Parmelee’s cellphone messages showed, “there was no evidence that Parmelee wanted to commit suicide,” investigators said.

Also pointing out there was no gunpowder burns or other marks on Parmelee’s body to indicate she shot herself at point blank range.

On July 30, around 9:15pm Lyons was found on the floor of the same home where Parmelee was killed, with a gunshot wound to the head.

Anderson was arrested in Carlisle soon after Lyons’ killing, driving around in her Honda Civic.

Detectives Christopher Miller and Antanine Klinger said that while in the Cumberland County Prison on July 31, “Anderson made an excited utterance to a correction officer that he ‘killed them both’.”

The investigators said he also told detectives “I killed Sydney” and “I killed Kaylee, too.”

Anderson is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, one count of murder of an unborn child, plus counts of illegally possessing firearms, receiving stolen property and child endangerment.
