Bachelor: Corinne Olympios Reveals She Was Depressed After Nick Viall’s Season

0

Resident Bachelor bad girl Corinne Olympios opened up about the aftermath of her extreme behavior on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor. During season 21 of the show, the model exerted her over-the-top personality in order to catch the eye of Nick, which quickly landed her the title of the “villian” for the majority of the show. The then 24-year-old had a way with words, and her line “my heart is gold, but my vagine is platinum” goes down as one of the most iconic lines in Bachelor history. Although she eventually won over the hearts of fans, her mean girl reputation was hard to shake.

Corinne was known for rebelling against production rules and even skipped a rose ceremony in order to take a nap after she was awarded a date rose. She consistently stampeded on other contestants’ one-on-one time with Nick, causing tension in the house, and her boasting about her nanny who made her cheese pasta set her up to be viewed as the spoiled mean girl everyone loved to hate. This feeling was only amplified by her aggressive romantic tactics, including an infamous trench coat and whipped cream maneuver she used to try and seduce Nick. Her personality seemed to charm Viall all the way through to the final four, but then she was sent home after a lavish hometown date.

Since her 2016 debut, Corinne’s on-show antics have followed her wherever she went, but now she’s looking back at her past and cringing at the way she came off to viewers, “I acted like a psychopath," she told her ex Nick Viall in an interview for his new Patreon series, Nick V Talks Trash TV: A Bachelor and His Exes Tell All. Corinne opened up to the man she once tried to seduce and described how she feels like a different person now, “I was a completely different human at the time. I tried to do whatever I could to get your attention. Everyone freaked out, but I don't care because I got my time." Even though she got her time in the limelight, Corinne then explained how the negative attention affected her mental health, “There were two days where I remember I would not get out of bed," she explained. "I was like, 'My life is over. What am I doing? What is this?'"

The Bachelor Franchise is notorious for editing contestants into specific roles to get more ratings. Past contestants have opened up about the misrepresentation of their “character,” and it looks like Corinne is another in a long line of Bachelor alum’s who weren’t portrayed in the best light, “I was a little upset because I know what a good wife I will be one day and what a good girlfriend I am," Corinne continued. "So I felt like that side of me wasn't shown. I felt like I looked like a bimbo."

The now 28-year-old seems to have made amends with her past and is now looking to distance herself from the image that was created on the show. She is now in a new relationship with boyfriend Vincent Fratantoni, and she’s leaving her napping days behind as she pursues a new career as a stand up comedian. It looks like there is life after The Bachelor, and Corinne is not letting her “villainous past” get in the way.
