The Joker & Poison Ivy Come To Fortnite In an All-New Retail Bundle

0

The roster of superheroes and supervillains in Fortnite just got even bigger with the addition of DC's The Joker and Poison Ivy. Players can purchase these skins via an all-new retail bundle that features Gotham's worst adversaries along with a new fiendish foe. The Last Laugh bundle will be available across all platforms.

Fortnite is no stranger to these types of crossovers as they have a large variety of licensed characters from DC, Marvel, and beyond. The most recent of which was a crossover between Fortnite and DC's own Aquaman. Other heroes and villains such as Captain America, Black Manta, Deadpool, and the X-Force have all made their way into Fortnite as playable characters. Even real-life personalities such as Travis Scott and Tyler "Ninja" Blevins have their own skins that players could purchase and from the in-game item shop.

Now, Fortnite has announced that The Joker and Poison Ivy will be joining the fight through an all-new retail bundle. Retail bundles are different from items in the in-game item shop as players have to purchase them with real money instead of V-Bucks, but they usually offer the player a lot of content. The Last Laugh retail bundle comes with The Joker, Poison Ivy, two Joker-themed pickaxes, a Joker back bling, and a Joke emote. It also includes a new Midas skin called Midas Rex, and 1,000 V-Bucks. The bundle will be available to purchase both physically and digitally across all platforms, but it is currently only available for digital pre-purchase on consoles. However, the skins and items won't release until November 17.

The announcement of the release is accompanied by the return of other Gotham friends and foes as Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Batman have all returned to the item shop. These licensed skins were introduced in previous seasons and have returned to celebrate the addition of The Joker. Harley and Catwoman can be purchased for in the item shop for 1,500 V-Bucks each, while Batman is another retail bundle that players will have to purchase directly.

It is a bit odd for Fortnite to announce the release of skins three months in advance, and to also allow players to prepurchase the skins on consoles exclusively is a little weird. Nonetheless, it is cool to see even more beloved characters join the world of Fortnite. Soon, the entire DC and Marvel rosters will be a part of Fortnite's skin library. Who needs Marvel's Avengers when you can play as all your favorite Marvel and DC heroes in Fortnite.
