That ‘70s Show: 10 Questions Fans Still Want Answered
That '70s Show may have ended years ago, but it still left some questions that fans are still aching to find out the answers to!
Due to the increase in binge watching of TV shows thanks to Netflix, certain sitcoms have developed renewed interest in themselves. This also brings back the questions and things to ponder over that fans had about the storylines involved, with That ‘70s Show falling under this as well.
Considering showrunners and actors happily answer queries on social media these days, or that revivals have become a common occurrence, there’s a chance that certain things from the series can finally be answered. These questions generally have to do with the future of the characters, or plot elements that left too much to be interpreted. With that in mind, here are 10 questions from That ‘70s Show fans still want resolutions for.
10 What Became Of Eric And Donna's Relationship?
![](https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Eric-and-Donna-That-70s-Show-Cropped.jpg)
Donna and Eric will always remain the main couple for fans to follow. Last they were seen, though, things were less than clear over where they stood. Eric had apologized for breaking up with her but it was never established if they did officially get back together.
For this reason, fans keep wondering if these two actually were the endgame couple or if their kiss was just a one-time thing. To this day, the question remains if they did work out their problems or simply went their separate ways.
9 Where Did Randy Go?
![](https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/08/That-70s-Show-Donna-And-Randy.jpg)
Out of all the characters seen in the series, it's clear that the most hated for the fan base was Randy. And yet, the same fans can't help but wonder as to what the heck happened to this guy.
After all, he was last seen breaking up with Donna, then had one scene with the others and was then never heard from again. The general wondering had remained if Randy ended up leaving town or continued to come up with plans to win Donna back.
8 Where Are The Characters In Present Day?
![](https://static3.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/that-70s-show-gang-Cropped-1.jpg)
The answer to this question is the reason why most want a revival to the series. Mostly, though, it's due to many plot threads having been left to interpretation. This is especially in regards to where the characters ended since their career aspirations were all over the place.
Some of the most popular queries have been things such as the date of Hyde's business in the internet era, the effect of the gang not taking their studies seriously, and the fates of the adults.
7 What Happened To Laurie?
![](https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/that-70s-show-laurie-Cropped-1.jpg)
Although people have questions about Eric himself, there's equal interest in whatever became of Laurie. After having shown up for no real reason in the middle of the show, and marrying Fez too, Laurie inexplicably disappeared.
The fact that Kitty herself brought up this same question means that the show itself realized that fans had this at the top of their minds. While the series left stuff up for interpretation, there was no resolution over Laurie's whereabouts.
6 What's The Deal With Donna's Sister?
![](https://static0.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/That-70s-Show-Midge-and-Bob-Pinciotti.jpg)
This one of those annoying plot holes that won't go away, to the point where fans legitimately want clarity over the situation. As it happened, it was established that Donna did have one more sibling in an elder sister. However, Valerie, as she was called, didn't show up in the series.
The explanation had been that she was three years older than Donna, so would've left home by then. However, that doesn't explain why she was missing for Donna's wedding or any other significant happenings in the family. Some fans were convinced she would show up in the spin-off in That '80s Show. Overall, there does need to be an explanation over what Valerie’s deal is.
5 Was Eric's Time In Africa Successful?
![](https://static1.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/that-70s-show-hogwarts-houses-eric-Cropped.jpg)
The reason why Eric broke up with Donna was because he felt that their relationship was interfering in his teaching aspirations in Africa. By the series finale, Eric had such a change of heart about Donna that it brought up doubts over his career.
Considering he didn't stop to chat about his current situation in the last scene, fans have taken to wondering if Eric might have ditched the whole arrangement and returned back home. Since that would negate his entire storyline for Season 8, this is far too big of a question to go ignored.
4 Did Kelso Become A Family Man?
![](https://static2.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/that-70s-show-kelso-Cropped.jpg)
The only thing that ever got Kelso to change his ways was becoming a father. It was following this event that led to him getting a stable job and trying to make it work with Brooke, the mother of his child.
His last appearance implied that Kelso might have started things up again with Brooke, which has led to the question of whether Kelso finally became a family man who not only was there for his daughter, but was in a committed relationship. Seeing as all this is still just fan assumption, they won't mind if a definite answer was provided.
3 Did Jackie And Fez's Relationship Last?
![](https://static2.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/Jackie-ends-up-with-fez.jpg)
This coupling was far from anyone's favorite pairing from the series. And yet, this was the confirmed couple by the conclusion. Still, with so many prior issues like Fez's obsession with Jackie and her own initial lack of interest in him, there's more unanswered questions than a confirmed answer.
There's always the chance that Jackie might have felt she rushed into the relationship, or that Jackie might not have matched up to Fez's high expectations. In any case, a definite resolution to this would at least finish all the endless speculation around this question once and for all.
2 Which Of The Christmas Specials Were Canon?
![](https://static2.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/That-70s-Show-Christmas-Specials.jpg)
To recap on this point, the series actually ran from 1976 to 1979 in-universe. That didn't stop the show from bringing a Christmas special each season, though, meaning at least five of them were non-canonical.
Since these episodes are usually one of the best episodes, fans have taken to debating which of them actually took place and which were simply fillers. It's a relatively simple question, yet having an answer would have the effect of making the canonical episodes all the more special.
1 Where Is Fez Really From?
![](https://static3.srcdn.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/fez.jpg)
No matter what might have happened within the storylines, this will always remain the main question from the fans. Despite being a running gag, the lack of an answer has meant it hasn't aged all that well.
Now that the show has been off-air for more than a decade, newer fans have also taken to bringing up this query once they're done watching the series. All this taken into account, there's no doubt that the reveal of Fez's homeland will be the greatest answer fans can receive. For now, though, it remains the biggest question.
