Terminator: Resistance - Crafting Guide (Tips & Tricks)
Terminator: Resistance is a first-person shooter that takes place during the aftermath of Judgement Day. Players will need to trek through a mangled Los Angeles as they fight their way toward the core of Skynet to shut it down, once and for all. During this campaign, players can collect resources and craft different weapons and tools to help turn the tide and this guide will explain the details.
Players will take control of a lone soldier named Jacob Rivers in Terminator: Resistance. During a mission in Pasadena, Rivers' squad was attacked by an infiltrator unit. Being the only one left alive, Rivers ended up finding a new alliance with other survivors, and ultimately created a new band of resistance fighters. While playing missions that span 9 chapters, players will need to complete a variety of reconnaissance objectives while trying to reach John Connors, the legendary leader of the resistance. Skynet has the entire landscape within its cybernetic grasp and there's a slew of enemies to overcome. Not only is Jacob Rivers still being pursued by the infiltrator that took down his squad, but there's also; drones, turrets, flying HKs, T-800 soldiers, and even harvesters patrolling the city. Players will need to collect a myriad of firearms, resources, and skill books to keep upping the ante with combat due to the increasingly difficult enemies to beat.
This game does come with multiple endings, all of which are dependant on what choices that are made throughout the campaign. Thus, there are a few role-playing elements that players can utilize to help spice up the combat and overall playstyle. There's even the option to complete missions stealthily with a special knife and hacking capabilities. On top of that, players can even adjust certain perks to the plasma rifles that can give them a little more oomph. It's imperative to scavenge around the battlefield and find as many resources as possible. This is because Terminator: Resistance also comes with a rather elaborate crafting system that players can use at their discretion. Things like lockpicks can be made to open locked doors and even Kyle Reese's famous pipe bombs from the first Terminator movie from 1984 can be made. There's definitely a formula to everything and players are encouraged to stock up on resources in their backpack in order to fight off the onslaught of Skynet's minions.
Crafting can only be done at a crafting table, which is only located in safe houses that are scattered throughout the game. What's really handy with crafting is not only new toys will be available, but it also grants a little XP. Since there's a skill tree to this game, it's recommended to upgrade the backpack in order to garner as many materials and resources as possible. It's also worth mentioning that leveling up the varied; stealth, science, and combat skills will unlock different crafting options as the game progresses. Luckily, Terminator: Resistance is rather generous with the resources that players can collect. Things can literally be found at every corner. It's also encouraged to poke around safe houses if players happen to find themselves in a pinch. Also, don't forget to scavage the battlefield after a heavy firefight. Looting enemies is a good way to store up on materials and sometimes it can be easy to simply forget about them and move on. Crafting is an essential element to this game and taking time and building as many supplies as possible is substantial.
Terminator: Resistance is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Microsoft Windows
