The Bachelorette: Tayshia Adams Was Just Spotted On The Set
Tayshia Adams was just spotted on the set of season 16 of The Bachelorette for the first time. The former season 23 The Bachelor contestant came to the franchise vying for the heart of former NFL player Colton Underwood. She quickly became a fan favorite, but she was ultimately sent home at the final two, when Colton decided to chase after fellow contestant Cassie Randolph. Tayshia didn’t waste time and was back in the spotlight appearing on the following season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise. On the show, she had a quirky romance with John Paul Jones, who was introduced to Bachelor Nation on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette.
Although Tayshia and John Paul Jones’ romance ended shortly after BIP aired, the California native has been swept up in an unprecedented twist of events due to the rumored abrupt departure of season 16 The Bachelorette lead Clare Crawley. Speculations are endless for the upcoming season, as many believe Clare, 39, decided to quit filming her season because she fell in love with one of the contestants, Dale Moss, after 12 days into shooting the show. Rumors swirled that Clare and Dale had communicated prior to filming, although those rumors have since been debunked by multiple sources, including Dale Moss’s sister. Whether or not there is truth to the Clare and Dale saga, it has been confirmed that Tayshia was brought in to replace Clare and take over dating her remaining contestants, despite a promo being released earlier this month where Clare was shown throwing roses.
Now, it looks like the speculations are adding up, with photos obtained by The Daily Mail showing Tayshia Adams at the La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs, which is where this season is being filmed due to shelter in place order. The photos show the 29-year-old in a turquoise bikini speaking with producers from the show. The former Bachelor alum appears to be mic’d and ready to start filming scenes with the rest of Clare’s contestants. Although Tayshia has yet to release a formal statement, it looks like she is more than ready to take over as the new lead for the season.
While producers were initially scrambling to salvage this season, it looks like the stars are aligning for the franchise, and fans and former contestants anticipate the dramatic new season. Among the fans rooting for Tayshia is former The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay, who has since given her support for the casting of the second Black female lead since her appearance as the lead on the show back in season 13. Another alum who backed Tayshia was her ex Colton Underwood, who took to Twitter to give his support saying, “Congrats @TayshiaAdams — good luck and I hope you find yourself a better kisser.”
While this season is highly anticipated and has been the source for speculations and rumors galore, fans now have concrete footage of Tayshia on set and can standby for Tuesdays this upcoming fall to see how it all unfolds.
