KUWTK: Kim Kardashian Announces KKW Beauty Collab With BFF Allison Statter

0

Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian West will be dropping her new KKW beauty collection in collaboration with her best friend, Allison Slatter, called KKW x ALLISON on August 28 at 12pm PDT. The new makeup line will be released just days before the new episodes of KUWTK come out on September 17.

Kim announced her new makeup collab on Instagram a few days ago and said the collection is designed for women who are on the move. "KKW x ALLISON: A collection featuring versatile and compact glam essentials for the everyday busy woman who wants to take her look on-the-go," she captioned the announcement. In addition to posting a couple of pictures, she also posted a promotional video of her and Allison talking about their makeup line. Allison explains their inspiration for it saying, "We started talking about how I have five minutes to do makeup, and that was kind of the beginning of the conversation." They go on to explain how they're both moms and they need quick and easy products to accommodate their fast-moving lifestyle.

To truly make the collection a collaboration between both Kim and Allison, they decided to make some of the products more suited for Kim and others that match Allison. The reality TV star shared what comes in the makeup line in her caption. "This collection includes a 6-pan Eyeshadow Palette with tones ranging from metallic lavender to matte warm chocolates, the return of KKW Beauty’s best-selling Lip Crayon in two new shades, plus two 3-in-1 Face Palettes and a clear Lip Gloss," she posted to Instagram. The packaging is also an adorable tribute to their friendship with picture collage of the two of them on the products.

The announcement of this new collection from the KUWTK star comes at the same time as momentum picks up to boycott Kim and her husband Kanye West's products and businesses. Since West announced he was adding his name to the ticket in the 2020 election against President Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden, there have been people calling for a boycott on their products in retaliation. Reportedly, Trump is supporting Kanye West's presidential bid in hopes of pulling votes away from Democratic nominee Biden. Taking a look at the sales from KKW x ALLISON could be a good indication as to whether the boycott is truly taking hold.
