Love Island 2: See All The Cast Members On Instagram
A pandemic can't stop these sexy singles from looking for love (and more often lust) in the second season of CBS' summer sleeper hit, Love Island USA. Forced to relocate from last season's tropical, albeit rainy, Fiji destination to address COVID-19 concerns, this year's hormonal crew will seek love in all the wrong places while living in a luxuriously quarantined Vegas hotel, The Cromwell Resort. The cast will be subject to numerous safety protocols, including a two-week quarantine before entering the villa, social distancing from all crew and personnel, and likely routine Covid-19 testing. Despite the series' low ratings last summer, it was renewed for a second season due to its popularity with the female and youth demographics.
Love Island USA is adapted from its original British counterpart, which has spawned multiple other iterations across the globe. Typically, 10 certified fresh singles looking for either love or a romp in the sack pair up in the villa on day one, constantly tempted to stray from their partner for other original house guests or the endless stream of new villa arrivals. The islanders re-couple every week with new or continued partners, and those left single are kicked off the show. After a summer of mixed and matched relationships, the couple voted fan favorite earns a cash prize and shot at love in the real world.
Love Island season two will premiere August 24 at 9 pm, airing every weeknight and Saturday thereafter. On Monday, CBS announced the oiled up, well-toned millennials flying out to Vegas to find their next summer fling or possible soulmate.
