17 fire departments to share $3.9M in federal safety grants

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Seventeen fire departments across Rhode Island are sharing almost $3.9 million in federal grants to help them replace worn out and obsolete equipment with more modern, efficient gear, officials say.
