Selling Sunset: Everything to Know About Chrishell Stause's Ex Matthew Morrison
After the release of Selling Sunset season 3, fans are eager to know more about Chrishell Stause's romantic life. Many know that she was married to Justin Hartley between 2017 to 2019. However, before that, she was in a relationship with actor Matthew Morrison. Let's give you an inside scoop on that.
The realtor had dated two famous actors after entering into the entertainment industry. Fans know her other relationship with Justin ended up in a divorce. However, many viewers might not be aware that she also dated Glee's Matthew Morrison. The duo first met in 2006, and a year later, they were engaged. But, their courtship didn't last long after the engagement, and Matthew called it off. In an interview, he revealed the reason for their separation. He said, "When I was 27, I proposed to my then-girlfriend, but I didn't do it for the right reasons; we'd been going out for a year or so, and I felt under pressure from society. He added, "I was thinking, 'This is the age when I should probably start having kids, so this is what I should do.' But after I did it, I immediately felt in my heart it wasn't right. My instant thought was 'What did you just do?'"
The 41-year-old has many talents - he is not only an actor but also a dancer and singer-songwriter. He stepped into the glam industry with a musical theatre on Broadway in the musical version of Footloose. Eventually, he got a big break when he landed the role of Link Larkin in the John Waters', Hairspray. Meanwhile, he also appeared in Ghost Whisperer, Numbers, CSI: Miami, and Hack. In 2005 he played Fabrizio Nacarelli in The Light in the Piazza and got nominated for a Tony Award for his performance. But, he is popularly known for his role, Will Schuester, on Glee. While doing the show between 2009-2015, he got nominated for Golden Globe Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Award. More recently, between 2019 and 2020, he featured as a judge alongside Cheryl and Strictly's Oti Mabuse in BBC One's The Greatest Dancer. After breaking up with Chrishell, he started dating actress Renee Puente in 2011. The couple got engaged in 2013 and eventually tied the knot in 2014. Now, they have a 2-year-old son together.
The actress turned realtor briefly mentioned her ex-boyfriend in episode 4 of Selling Sunset season one. While talking about the huge age gap between her co-star Mary and Romain Bonnet, she spoke about her previous relationship. During a confessional, she said, "I didn't know who I was at 25, and I didn't know what I wanted because actually, if I ended up with the person I was with when I was 25, I would want to kill myself. She added, "And yeah you can google that. You were a d*ck! Sorry." Well, it looks like she hasn't forgiven him yet.
