Hamilton: Which Character Are You, Based On Your Zodiac?
Hamilton is one of the biggest and most popular musicals that has ever been created. Lin Manuel Miranda's creation is one that brought in an incredible 16 Tony Award nominations (winning 11,) and has gone on to become one of the hardest tickets to secure on both the West End and Broadway down to sheer demand alone.
Mixing something so historic with a fresh modern style of rap was certainly a risk, but it is one that certainly paid off for those involved. With Disney+ now showing the musical as well, the interest has only increased. The main reason the show is so popular is purely down to the characters and how varied they are, but which one are you most alike?
12 Aries - Alexander Hamilton
The main star of the musical is undoubtedly an Aries as he has many different traits that suit this zodiac. Alexander Hamilton is very hardworking and is a persistent character throughout the film. But while he works for everything he gets, he certainly pushes his message to make that happen.
Hamilton doesn't keep his opinions to himself and he is very argumentative. He is often given advice by others to calm down and not argue as much, but he refuses to do so. He's the perfect Aries because of that, always wanting to make sure his voice is heard the loudest.
11 Taurus - George Washington
As someone who leads the army during the American Revolution, it is hard to place George Washington anywhere other than as a Taurus. People in this zodiac are notorious for being very analytical and observant, and that is certainly something that he has to show while in charge.
He watches and analyses everything that happens during the war, and that allows him to always try and make the best decisions possible. He's determined to make sure the war comes to an end with a positive result, which is why he's a great Taurus.
10 Gemini - John Laurens
John Laurens is only around for the first half of the musical, but he quickly makes an impact based on how positive he is as a character. He works alongside Alexander Hamilton, becoming friends with him as they bond over drinks and then again as they fight in the American revolution.
His positivity and popularity is something that works well with being a Gemini, as does the fact that he can be a very outgoing person. He may only be a supporting character, but John Laurens is certainly a lot of fun while he's part of the film.
9 Cancer - Philip Hamilton
Philip Hamilton is the son of Alexander and Eliza who appears in the second half of the musical and is quickly involved in some major moments. Sadly, one of those is incredibly emotional as he is killed in a duel, which he does when defending his father's honor and legacy.
The fact that he is so loyal to his father that he is willing to die for him, taking his advice to shoot in the air is what makes him a perfect Cancer zodiac, as they are often known for being trustworthy and loyal.
8 Leo - Eliza Schuyler/Hamilton
As one of the Schuyler sisters, Eliza gets a lot of attention and admirers, but she only has eyes for Alexander Hamilton. She's incredibly loyal to him, even when he has an affair which leaves her rightfully heartbroken and angry.
She gets put through a lot throughout the show with her son and husband dying and being cheated on. However, throughout all the turmoil she shows incredible bravery, which is a trait of a Leo. She continues to focus on doing good for the world and pushing Hamilton's message, which showcases the kindness her character has.
7 Virgo - King George III
King Geroge III is perhaps the funniest character in the entire show. He might technically be a villain who is very petty and controlling, but the way he is played also brings the laughs every time he appears. The controlling nature he has over America is very much in line with being a Virgo.
As well as that, he also tends to hold grudges, refusing to give up on what he has and not wanting to lose his power. But, that pettiness and childlike behavior is what makes him such a great character.

Aaron Burr, Sir, is one of the best characters in Hamilton, bringing a fantastic warmth and passion to the show throughout. He is someone who is persistent in trying to make the world a better place and he tries his hardest to make everything happen through his positive attitude.
Unlike many of the other characters, Aaron Burr doesn't go behind people's backs and tries to do things as honestly as possible - but also tries to keep everyone happy, rather than fighting for his own ends. That attitude is what makes him a great Libra type. Libras are known for always trying to keep the peace and find balance.

4 Sagittarius - Angelica Schuyler
Angelica is one of the greatest characters in Hamilton, having some amazing songs and fantastic story development. She's brilliant throughout the show and is a real romantic, despite the fact that she looks for finances as her main trait in a partner.
However, she is also incredibly intelligent. She knows exactly what she wants and how to get it, which she does. Angelica also showcases her smartness by knowing her sister is right for Alexander Hamilton, but keeping a close relationship with him through secret notes, showcasing her smartness.
3 Capricorn - James Madison
Being persistent is something that comes with being a Capricorn and that is exactly how James Madison is throughout this musical. While he's only a supporting character, he certainly is an important one.
2 Aquarius - Maria Reynolds
Maria Reynolds isn't a main character within the show, but she certainly makes an impact during her appearance. Maria is the character who sleeps with Alexander Hamilton, causing him to have an affair against Eliza, which is one of the most shocking moments within the story.
Her happiness in breaking the traditional rules of a marriage is something that makes her an Aquarius, as they are known to go against the classic form of behavior. Romantic and dramatic is definitely the Aquarius way.
1 Pisces - Thomas Jefferson
Thomas Jefferson makes a big impact in Hamilton during the second half of the show, bringing tons of energy as he really stirs the pot from what happens in the first act. His rap battles are some of the greatest moments in the entire musical and it really picks things up in the show.
However, while he's a smart character he knows what he wants and manages to push getting it by any means necessary. The fact that he is willing to go behind the classic rules to screw Alexander Hamilton with his secret affair showcases why he's a Pisces, as they don't normally play by the rules.
