Selling Sunset: Everything There is to Know About Chrishell's Past Career
In the most recent season of Selling Sunset, Chrishell Stause has a pivotal role! The theme of divorce dominated a large part of season three, following Stause through the thick of it all. From the deep sobbing, to moving, to visiting family, the cameras watched it all unfold. It was hard for most viewers to think of much else during the season. Even co-star Christine's wedding seemed to be overshadowed.
Selling Sunset depicts the lives of the realtors and brokers at the famed Oppenheim Group. The lovely ladies enjoy lavish lifestyles while selling million dollar homes. They juggle family and fiancés as they work through problematic listings and dramatic moments in the office. Cat fights and "he said, she said" conversations round out the overarching themes of this hot reality TV program. Between the eye candy real estate and the overly dramatic happenings, it's no wonder how this show gained its popularity.
Taking a trip down Stause's memory lane, she started by starring in soap operas. While some would see this as a mediocre rise to fame, it is quite the opposite for Stause. She had the perfect demeanor and grandiose acting for soap operas, making her career blossom in just a few short years. Her starting Soap Opera was ABC's All My Children back in 2005. Stause was in her mid 20's at the time and finally catching her big break starring as Amanda Dillion.
Continuing on her uptick of success she landed roles on other soaps such as Days of Our Lives and The Young and the Restless. Sprinkled throughout her career are other TV appearances from her small part in the failed ABC drama Mistresses to the 2018 romantic comedy Another Time. While she is most recognized for her soap opera self, the actress still has quite a portfolio of other content and is still actively working on things like Beauty Bees, a made for TV movie in which she plays herself.
Premiering in 2019 Stause decided to try her hand at a new genre: reality TV. With a realtor license in hand, she joined the Oppenheim Group and the Selling Sunset cast. Stause now lives in a real life soap opera. Especially when it came to this season, in which her whole world was turned upside down with divorce. Just why did she make the slight career switch?
Stause initially acquired her real estate license for personal reasons. She was investing in properties and wanted a license, as she believed having the knowledge base and the credentials would help to protect her best interests when it came to her investments. She quickly discovered that real estate was a passion project for her and has since meshed it with her actual career as an actress, creating a beautiful blend. At this point in time, it could be argued that she does more real estate than acting.
Stause has thus far had quite a career. From acting to real estate her resume is sure to wow anyone in either industry. This powerhouse of a woman is sure to have an incredible impact on any project she is a part of. It will be interesting to see if she takes on any other career paths in the future.
