Big Brother 22: Angela Upset Bidet Segment Ran But Tyler Reading Her Letter Was Cut
Angela Rummans is disappointed that she didn't get to watch boyfriend Tyler Crispen reading her letter in the latest episode of Big Brother 22: All-Stars, but instead got an entire segment about the house's newly-installed bidet. Despite not being inside the house, Angela has played a significant role so far in the BB22 narrative. She released a new cookbook right when the season started and got a few shoutouts from Tyler congratulating her from inside the BB house. Because quite a few of the houseguests are vegan this year, Angela's name has also come up a few times while the players discuss recipes and/or preferences.
With that said, Angela has missed out on most of these references because she is admittedly not watching the Big Brother: All-Stars live feeds. She thinks that it's unfair to have access to Tyler 24/7 while he doesn't have the same option to monitor her at all times through multiple cameras. Angela does seem to be managing Tyler's social media accounts while he is in the BB house, but she is reportedly only watching the one-hour episodes that air on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays on CBS. This week, Tyler won the Head of Household competition and received a beautiful letter from Angela... but the latest episode never showed him reading it.
Angela's letter to Tyler on Big Brother 22 was a touching declaration of love. As Tyler read it out loud, the other players commented on how deeply he clearly feels for her. The All-Stars also remarked on how good of a writer Angela is. They knew she was a published author, of course, but the writing in her letter to Tyler still blew them all away. However, the Sunday, August 23 episode of BB22 did not air Tyler's reading of Angela's letter. Instead, the show featured a segment about the newly-installed bidet that is freaking out some of the guys in the house. Angela posted an Instagram Story to express her frustration. She said, "Disappointed I didn't get to see Ty read my letter... Would have preferred that over the bidet segment." She then tagged the official Big Brother account on Instagram.
Given that she isn't keeping up with the Big Brother 22 live feeds, it is understandable that Angela was waiting for Sunday night's episode to watch Tyler reading her letter. It is also fair to say that her disappointment was even greater when she realized that production had chosen to air a segment about the bidet of the house... but didn't have time to show Tyler's emotional reaction to her letter.
The debate over what the one-hour episodes choose to air is something that has always happened on Big Brother. With that said, it is certainly not a given for the episodes to show the HOHs reading the letters they've received. More often than not, production chooses to cut those scenes.
