90 Day Fiancé: Elizabeth's Family's Criminal History & Mugshots Explained

0

Elizabeth Potthast from 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? is part of a family with a criminal history, including mugshots. The Potthast family has skeletons in the closet.

Libby Potthast is afraid that her American family will be too judgmental of Moldova.  In the past, the two families have failed to see eye to eye. Most issues stem from Andrei Castravet acting rudely; however, fans believe that another big issue is the threat of the two families clashing once Libby's family arrives. Sadly, these fears came true during a 90 Day Fiancé dinner from hell, where her brother Charlie and husband Andrei became embroiled in a toxic word-for-word battle.

Currently, Chuck Potthast is still grilling his son-in-law about the reason why he is leaving his home country. However, Elizabeth's father may be running a scam of his own. It has come to the attention of fans that Chuck may no longer have a leg to stand on when he starts to investigate his son-in-law for sketchy behavior in upcoming episodes. The rest of the family also has some seedy issues, according to Starcasm.

The whole Potthast family has a long history of criminal activity. Chuck was arrested back in 2009 for unpaid child support. Three of Elizabeth’s siblings have been arrested for driving with revoked licenses and have mugshots to prove it. Here's a breakdown of those charges: Rebekah Potthast was arrested at age 22, for driving with a revoked license. Charles Potthast, Jr. was arrested in 2005 for driving with a revoked license. Elizabeth’s older sister, Jen was the third sibling to be arrested for driving with a suspended license and an unregistered vehicle in 2005. Another of Elizabeth’s brothers was charged with possession of fewer than 20 ounces of an illegal substance, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia in 2004. In 2006, Charles was arrested and charged with possession of an illegal substance.

Screen Rant has previously reported on the Potthast family's run-ins with the law. This family seems to live in a glass house and throw stones. The family’s Florida business has come under fire, due to allegations of slum landlord tactics and other sleazy moves. The self-righteous patriarch may need to tone down his judgment of Andrei due to publicity about his own past.

According to the Better Business Bureau, there have been numerous complaints against Chuck and his son Daniel, for running foreclosure scams on renters. The family’s company, CDC Capital Investments LLC, has had to defend itself against accusations of rental fraud. Many customers have complained that the properties they rented were in the process of foreclosure and that the company failed to inform the renters.

TLC fans are a bit annoyed that Chuck has been so anti-Andrei, especially since he has a quite a 90 Day Fiancé past of his own. Hopefully, Andrei shapes up and reveals the real reasons why he decided to leave Moldova behind for the greener pastures of Ireland.
