‘Common Sense’ MPs vow reform of asylum system ‘not fit for purpose’

Boris Johnson yesterday vowed to stop "dangerous" and "illegal" migrant crossings into the UK as he faced mounting calls for a major overhaul of the country's asylum system. More than 40 Conservative MPs have demanded "root and branch" reforms in the wake of the summer migration crisis.
