10 Mysteries About The Snyder Cut We Don't Have Answers To
The first big trailer that looked at the Snyder Cut of Justice League hit during DC FanDome 2020 in August. This trailer featured a bunch of shots and scenes that did not appear in the theatrical version of the movie and showed some exciting changes that might be coming when the re-edited film hits HBO Max.
However, even with the trailer, the footage brings up some questions that both DC fans and those who have been begging for the Snyder Cut will have to wait for the release of the new version of the movie to get answers. Here are 10 mysteries that remain after the recent trailer for the Snyder Cut of Justice League.
10 DID CYBORG'S DAD REALLY DIE?
One of the key sequences in the theatrical cut of Justice League saw the team head in to save scientists that Steppenwolf had kidnapped. This mission had a couple of big moments, including Batman's dialogue with Flash about what it means to be a hero.
However, the critical moment was that they were saving Cyborg's dad as well, and that made it even tenser. However, the new Justice League trailer had a scene that looked like Silas Stone had died. Was this a misdirection, or is the Snyder Cut changing everything fans know about Cyborg's motivation?
9 HOW WILL THE FINAL BATTLE CHANGE?
The big final battle saw the Justice League teaming up to fight Steppenwolf. They joined forces and had him on his heels but still failed to get the upper hand until Superman finally showed up and decided to help. They then were able to work together, beat him, and send him off-planet. However, the new Snyder Cut promises Darkseid, so will this final battle change drastically, and will Darkseid be involved as well?
8 WILL THERE BE HINTS OF FLASHPOINT?
There was one scene in the theatrical cut of Justice League that showed Flash coming back and telling Batman that Lois is the answer. This was foreshadowing both the upcoming Flashpoint movie with The Flash and the Knightmare future possibilities.
There were signs that Zack Snyder was planning to break down the DC Universe so that future filmmakers could start fresh, and there are likely to be more scenes like this in the new movie. Will it lead to The Flash movie?

6 HOW MUCH DARKSEID WILL THERE BE?
Darkseid will show up in the Snyder Cut of Justice League. However, how much will he play into the story? The idea, for now, is that Darkseid was still sending Steppenwolf to Earth to prepare it for his arrival. Steppenwolf failed and was taken away after the Justice League fight. Will Darkseid show up early, like Thanos in the original Avengers movie, or will he be there at the end and flee when the battle goes awry.
5 WILL MARTIAN MANHUNTER SHOW UP?
There is one scene from the trailer that hints at something else Zack Snyder said in the past. The scene where Lois Lane answers her door, and Martha Kent is there and the two hug. In the theatrical release, this happened at the newspaper Lois worked at.
This is one of the scenes that Snyder re-shot. He mentioned before that he wanted to use the scene to introduce Martian Manhunter and have him posing as Lois Lane. Could this be the scene where the Manhunter makes his first theatrical appearance?
4 WILL THERE BE A SUPERGIRL APPEARANCE?
In Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, there were little scenes that introduced the heroes fans met in Justice League. This was done by watching video footage on computers of the heroes in action as well as seeing paperwork from Batman's detective work.
This could have happened again in Justice League with another big hero. There is a scene where Bruce Wayne is looking at a holograph and talks about the lack of Kryptonians, and in that is someone who isn't Superman. The thought is that he sees Kara Zor-El — Supergirl — who is already on Earth.
3 HOW DOES DESAAD PLAY INTO SNYDER CUT?
There was another new character shown in the Snyder Cut of Justice League trailer that was not in the original theatrical movie. This is an alien with a horrific face that most fans won't recognize. This is DeSaad, Darkseid's master torturer and right-hand man. He is comparable to Thanos' right-hand man Ebony Maw from Avengers: Infinity War. As a newcomer, what will his role be in the Snyder Cut of the movie?
2 IS THAT IRIS WEST?
There is a scene of Flash seeing someone in danger and racing out the door and saving a woman from a flying car in some accident. This, from all accounts, is Flash saving none other than Iris West, the future love of his life. There have been a lot of complaints about how Warner Bros. seemed to be rushing toward a Flashpoint movie without ever having given Barry Allen a lot of time to develop. Could the addition of Iris mean that Barry will play a larger role in this film?

The biggest complaint from many fans about Zack Snyder's films is that they have been very dark stories, and his heroes have been less than heroic. Superman was not the optimistic Man of Tomorrow and was instead a man who didn't seem to know his place in the world.
