Hurricane Laura left a path of destruction along Louisiana’s coast on Thursday, August 27, after it made landfall as a Category 4 storm, local media reported. Trees were downed, a number of roads were closed, and power outages were reported across Louisiana on Thursday, according to local media reports. Power was also cut to thousands in Texas as the storm passed over the Texas-Louisiana border, reports said. This video, filmed by Alex Kjellsten, shows a broken window and furniture strewn about inside a home. It also shows uprooted trees and debris littering the ground. Kjellsten said the footage was filmed in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
