Iran used Russian radar system to track US F-35s after Qassem Soleimani assassination: report
The US assassination of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani in early January exacerbated the already tense relations between Tehran and Washington in place since the Trump administration’s unilateral withdrawal from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal in 2018.
Deputy director-general of the Russian research centre Rezonans Alexander Stuchilin has argued that a radar system produced by his company helped the Iranian Army track US F-35 stealth fighters following the death of a top Iranian general in an American drone attack at the beginning of this year.
