All Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Playable Characters Explained
Fresh off the hype of Gotham Knights, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League got a cinematic trailer and footage reveal at DC FanDome over the weekend. The game appears to focus on four members of the Suicide Squad: Harley Quinn, King Shark, Captain Boomerang, and Deadshot. Here's what we know about the playable characters so far.
The new Suicide Squad game is still two years away, with a planned release year of 2022, and Rocksteady Studios has said it is going to tie to their previous Batman: Arkham games. They've also teased an expansive roster of heroes and villains . So far, however, there are only four confirmed playable characters — and each one was given the spotlight for a time by actor Will Arnett during DC FanDome.
The game could possibly feature more playable characters at launch, but only four have been revealed so far. There's King Shark, a humanoid shark who's also a demigod. There's Deadshot, who's shown in the trailer sniping at enemies while jetting around the city. Captain Boomerang, the Australian assassin, is seen grumbling early in the trailer before blasting away at baddies himself. Then there's Harley Quinn, the most famous member of Rocksteady's version of the Suicide Squad, who's up to her usual habits of creating mayhem. There's a lot to love about each one, but Rocksteady has promised there's more to love about them than just their personalities.
Rocksteady is already famous for their Batman: Arkham games, which connects to Suicide Squad's universe, and fans can expect similar combat in their latest game. According to Rocksteady, each playable character will have a unique set of skills and abilities to unlock as the game progresses. This means players can experiment with a wide array of moves to see which characters and abilities they like best. Mastered skills are sure to impress and will make each character feel both different and integral to the others. But the unique moves don't stop at the combat.
Each playable character in Suicide Squad will also have their own traversal moves. This means Harley Quinn will have a different way of getting around than Deadshot or the others, and it also means players will have to figure out which means of travel they prefer. Additionally, the weapons in the game are customizable, adding even more depth to how unique each playable character can be.
Fans eager to give Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League a shot will have to wait a bit longer. The game doesn't release until 2022, but Rocksteady will hopefully share more details soon — and possibly even more playable characters.
