Derecho uproots dozens of trees at Graceland Cemetery

Graceland, located in Uptown and long known for its natural landscape and historical monuments, closed Aug. 10 after a derecho with wind gusts as high as 130 miles per hour shifted some memorials and uprooted about 40 trees within minutes. The staff anticipates more than 200 trees will be removed.
