I’m a working mum of two and I get paid on the last working day of the month and my Universal Credit assessment period runs from the 29th of the month to 28th of the month.
The August bank holiday is coming up and I’m really worried about what’s going to happen with my Universal Credit, please can you help.

Nichola replies: Sorry to hear you are so worried at the moment, being a single mum and making sure you have enough money coming in to support your family can be a real struggle, even when you are working.
Ordinarily, if your usual Universal Credit payment day falls on a bank holiday, you will get paid early.
This means you should receive your money on the last working day before your payment date, this is the same if your payment day falls on the weekend too.
