It was their daughter’s first day at year one, as students across the country return to school after lockdown.

Jac beamed with pride as she stood alongside her little girl who wore a black puffy jacket over her blue school uniform.

The former Eastenders star wore a denim jacket over a long pink shirt, black jeans and boots.

Her former Towie husband opted for a more casual look in an Arsenal zip-up jacket and grey shorts.

She wrote: “Year 1 we are ready for you!”

“I am so proud of her. Golly gosh! It’s so hard to let her go, we have had such a lovely time all together as a family, we needed this time all together and it’s been amazing.

“Ella has been so brilliant during the whole of lockdown and really grown, she’s so much braver, stronger and confident. She was ready for today.”

Jac and Dan had brought their other daughter Mia, two, along to say goodbye to her sister.

The toddler “had a little cry” when she had to leave her big sister at school to go home.

“Mia had a little cry because she doesn’t ever have to say goodbye to her sister, usually where Ella goes, Mia goes,” Jac wrote.

“That breaks my heart a little. Mummy and daddy had a little tear in their eye so proud!!!!!
