Power demand during the month remained muted in industrial states like Maharashtra and Gujarat but improved over last year in northern agrarian states like Punjab and Rajasthan. The demand for power in August 2020 was 2% less than that reported during the same month last year, data available with grid operator Power System Operation Corporation (Posoco) showed.
