What’s more, spin-off show Fear the Walking Dead was also delayed, meaning fans had no new content to sink their teeth into.
As such, the team behind the series have been doing their best to keep fans updated on production from their social media accounts.
The latest whipped their followers into a frenzy as they seemed to hint that Rick Grimes actor Andrew Lincoln could be reunited with some of the currenty stars on screen.
The account shared a picture of Lincoln on set with Lydia actress Cassady McClincy and Kelly (Angel Theory).
