BLM protesters shout ‘F**k the white people’ at restaurant diners and down their drink

A BLM protester downed a couple’s drink at a Pittsburgh restaurant Saturday, while a megaphone-wielding demonstrator tussled with a cyclist who walked past him

This is the moment Black Lives Matter protesters shouted ‘Fuck the white people that built the system’ at restaurant diners before downing their drink. Saturday’s protest in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, saw the male protester who shouted about white people also screaming ‘Fuck 12’ – a reference to the police.

He was shouting at a couple sat outside a restaurant, who stood up to remonstrate with him. An activist dressed in a ‘Nazi Lives Don’t Matter’ tank top was seen approaching the same couple’s table, before grabbing a glass from their table, drinking it’s contents and dropping the glass.

Some of the restaurant’s customers were seen to get up and walk away after being branded ‘an embarrassment’ by demonstrators, according to MailOnline.

Police in Pittsburgh are investigating the restaurant incident, as well as another tussle caught on camera which saw a cyclist and megaphone-wielding demonstrator shove one another.

Similar protests erupted in Rochester, New York last week in response to the death of black man Daniel Prude after being put in a spit hood by police on March 23.

And Washington DC witnessed the first recorded restaurant protest last month, when a group of BLM demonstrators surrounded two women eating outside a restaurant.

They demanded both diners raise their fists in a gesture of solidarity with the racial equality movement, and heckled one of the two women after she failed to do so.

Some BLM supporters have hit out at the restaurant protests, branding them unnecessary, and encouraging hostility to a movement founded to tackle systemic racism and police brutality towards African American people.

Clips of riots have also been seized on by President Trump to push his pro-police law and order agenda, and attack Democratic rival Joe Biden by claiming he will not take a firm stance on violence.

Protests have continued all summer in the wake of the killing of unarmed black man George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25.

Floyd died after Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for eight minutes, 46 seconds.

The marches have also focused on the deaths of other black people at the hands of police, including Breonna Taylor, from Louisville in Kentucky, as well as Elijah McClain from Aurora in Colorado.

A report published by The Washington Post last week said 93% of the summer’s BLM protests had passed off peacefully.
