STATEMENT FROM THE ORGANIZERS OF THE MYOTIS RALLY

The organising team of the Myotis Rally have reluctantly concluded that we should postpone the running of the planned event in December until we can be more confident about the following 6
concerns, all related to the ongoing impacts of Covid-19.

• Our duty of care towards our competitors and officials.
• The likely availability of marshals.
• The practical implications of social distancing.
• The requirements of Government and Motor Sport UK
• Financial viability
• Protecting the reputation of Devizes and District Motor Club, the Myotis Rally and all motorsport with the public and local community.

We have given considerable thought to all of these issues and how we could overcome the challenges, but it is our current judgement that it would not be possible to have to run anything like
a traditional Myotis Rally.

The unique character of our territory which shapes the special nature of the event adds to the challenge of running the event safely and in accordance with current
obligations.

If circumstances change in a positive way in the months ahead, the Myotis organising team, supported by the DDMC Committee, will be keeping our position under constant review, with a view to running the event in 2021.
