How to limit replies to your Twitter posts, so that no account or only certain accounts can reply

0
On Twitter, you can now limit who can reply to your tweets.
  • You can limit replies to your tweets on Twitter so that only those you follow, or only those you mention in the tweet, can respond.
  • Before this new feature, users could only limit who could reply to their tweets by putting privacy settings on their entire account.

Twitter has added a new feature that allows you to limit replies to only those you follow, or only people you mention in the tweet — for each individual tweet.

This feature is useful if you want to limit your notifications, or if you just don't want a flood of arguments or advice that you know a certain tweet will bring. Now you can have more control over how you interact with online communities.

How to limit replies to your tweets on Twitter

The process to limit your tweet replies is the same on both the mobile app and the Twitter desktop website.

1. Type your tweet. Underneath your text, you'll see a globe icon next to the words "Everyone can reply." Tap that icon, or the text, to open the limit options.

Tap the globe icon or the words "Everyone can reply."

2. A list labeled "Who can reply?" will pop up. Select the option that sounds best to you from the list ("Everyone," "People you follow," or "Only people you mention").

Select the option you prefer from the list, then send your tweet.

3. Then, click the blue "Tweet" button to finish your post.
