Police guard Winston Churchill statue as Trans Pride marchers arrive at Parliament Square

Police officers were seen guarding the Winston Churchill statue in Parliament Square on Saturday (September 12) as Trans Pride marchers began to arrive.

Protesters chanted "Churchill was a racist" and "save lives not statues".

The famous statue was defaced again only two days ago by an Extinction Rebellion protester.
