Forest department, NHAI deal over NH-7, NH-6

Caught between the devil and the deep sea on NH-7 four-laning, the Maharashtra forest department, Union ministry of environment, forest and climate change (MoEFCC), National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), and Wildlife Institute of India (WII) have finally struck a deal over wildlife mitigation measures on the controversial 37-km road stretch between Mansar and Khawasa on Sunday.
