The Cabinet may be suffering from a misallocation of portfolios. Nirmala Sitharaman is an upright and diligent finance minister with a background in economics. But should not her talent be better utilised in another important portfolio, leaving finance to say, railways and commerce minister Piyush Goyal who was twice the first choice as interim FM.
