Even the virtual fans booed the Eagles off the field in Philadelphia

0

Sunday’s Week 2 game between the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles was played behind closed doors at Lincoln Financial Field. But that didn’t necessarily mean a friendly environment for the struggling Eagles.

Given how a silent, empty stadium would make for a scrimmage-like atmosphere (and how some teams have been allowing fans into their stadiums during a pandemic), NFL teams are permitted to pipe some crowd noise into the stadiums.

And whoever was controlling the stadium noise for the Eagles was really going for realism because they actually had the artificial crowd noise boo the Eagles off the field ahead of a punt.

Just amazing.

We all know that’s exactly how Eagles fans would have reacted to that situation, so you just have to appreciate that the stadium audio staff actually played a booing track.

It was the normalcy we all needed.
