RHONY Leah is bumped to 10 grand an episode | Screen Rant
Leah McSweeney from Real Housewives of New York has been bumped up to 10 grand an episode. She got a raise after a battle with the network.
Many would argue that Leah McSweeney made quite an impression on her first The Real Housewives of New York season. She annoyed the living heck out of Ramona Singer, which made RHONY fans extremely happy, while also forming a close bond with Dorinda Medley. Married to the Mob owner Leah McSweeney brought a younger vibe as she openly screamed her opinion on tiki torches and let the women have it.
Leah McSweeney has made it clear that she knows how much she is worth to the popular franchise. After receiving only three grand an episode for her first season, Leah held out for a lot more money during Real Housewives negotiations, according to Page Six. Last week, fans will recall that the newest housewife was ready to drop her golden apple and walk, after reportedly being offered a "pathetically low" pay raise. The outlet was told that the mother of one was given the seven thousand dollars pay jump after the Bravo network realized she was worth the investment. Leah recently signed with the WME talent and media representation company. This agency confirmed that she would be coming back to the show. The source who spoke with the outlet revealed that the real housewife was given the "standard wage increase."
There will also be some very strict shooting rules since the pandemic is coming back with a vengeance. The cast and crew will be expected to take multiple COVID tests each week, and closed sets and quarantining will be implemented as needed. The network has decided that it will not use extras. Going a step further, Bravo has decided that there will be no other patrons if the ladies visit restaurants.
There have been many rumors about Alicia Quarles being cast on RHONY since the firing of Dorinda Medley. The journalist is a well-known fixture in Manhattan's social and fashion scenes. Alicia hasn’t confirmed or denied if she will be joining the housewives, but she does know most of the women and is the epitome of a real New Yorker. Fans are excited that Leah will be back for her sophomore year, especially since there are also rumors that she will be bringing some of her younger friends on board. Watch out, Ramona!
The Real Housewives of New York airs Thursday at 9 pm EST on Bravo.
