"It’s Not A Disaster": Simon Kinberg Promises 'Fantastic Four' Is "A Good Movie"

As yet unscreened for critics, saddled with bad buzz, and certainly not supported by fanboys, 20th Century Fox will be holding its breath when "Fantastic Four" opens this week. Will a mass audience see the Marvel branding and show up? Or  has the lack of enthusiasm all around dampened the film's chances?

Producer Simon Kinberg isn't going down without a fight. “I am proud of it. It’s not a disaster. It’s a good movie," he told EW. "....I’m happy with the way that it turned out." Director Josh Trank has remained the focus of speculation about his on-set behavior, and Kinberg has rallied to the filmmaker's defense.
