Lucifer: The 5 Best (& 5 Worst) Scenes Of Season 5 | ScreenRant
The first half of season 5 of Netflix's Lucifer has been packed with twists and turns that leave fans wanting more. While a release date for the second half of the season is yet to be announced, there is plenty to look back on from the first 8 episodes. This season of Lucifer might be the darkest so far, but it also has some shocking and hilarious moments that prove Lucifer is one of the best shows available right now. Each character is dealing with their own issues, some bigger than others, and since this is the first time Netflix has released only one half of the season, it'll be interesting to see what's next.
From serial killers to twins, and a black-and-white film noir episode, a lot happens to Lucifer and the team, and there are many questions that need to be answered when the next part of the season finally releases.
10 Best: Dan Seeing Lucifer's Devil Face
Lucifer doesn't lie. He's never hidden the fact that he's the Devil, but only people who actually see him in his true form believe it. Chloe and Linda are the only two humans who know who he really is, and Dan is added to that list when Michael tricks him into turning around and witnessing Lucifer in his Devil form. Similarly to every other person who reacts to Lucifer's real face, Dan is extremely traumatized by this, and he's even more disturbed when he finds out Chloe knew the whole time.
9 Worst: Mazikeen Betraying Lucifer
Maze and Lucifer have had a rocky relationship throughout the show, and they've both been through a lot. Maze spends the season attempting to get over Eve and confronting her own personal demons, including her abandonment issues and her desire for a soul. All of this leads up to Mazikeen taking Michael's side instead of Lucifer's because she believes that he's more likely to give her a soul.
8 Best: Dad Appears
For the first time in the shows run Lucifer's father, God himself, shows his face after Amenadiel, Michael, Lucifer, and Maze get into a huge fight that ends in God intervening. After five seasons of wondering what would happen if their father showed his face, fans finally get a second long glimpse in one of the show's best cliffhangers.
7 Worst: Ella's Romance
It's alluded to in one scene that Ella only really dates bad guys, who don't really match up to her personality. Saying that it's out of character for her to consistently be with dangerous guys and it's not even addressed enough that it becomes a plot point.
It doesn't make a lot of sense, especially once she meets Pete, a dorky and friendly reporter. Even though he ends up being a serial killer, their personalities matched at the start.
6 Best: Deckerstar
Fans have been waiting for Chloe and Lucifer to get together since the show started, and they nearly got it in season 4 until Lucifer had to go back to Hell. They both have feelings for each other, except neither one of them can find the right time or place to tell the other how they feel. They finally get to have their moment and it was exactly what fans had been wanting for several seasons.
5 Worst: Diablo
One episode sees Chloe and Lucifer investigate a murder connected to a show that was literally written based on Lucifer's life. The scene where they watch their acting counterparts be like them is meant to be cringeworthy and over the top, and it works almost too well. The whole scene is really awkward and while it's amusing at first, it becomes too much.
4 Best: Lucifer Loses His Mojo
One of the funniest moments of season 5 is when Chloe and Lucifer have sex and Lucifer loses his power to find out what people truly desire. At first, they think that Chloe took his powers from him, but the whole thing remains a mystery. His mojo is part of his personality and it's funny to see him trying to cope without it for a while.
3 Worst: Michael's Reveal
The fact that Lucifer has a twin called Michael is teased in the trailer for season 5, which might be why his reveal is pretty underwhelming. The only way to tell Lucifer and Michael apart is their accents.
Lucifer has a British accent while Michael has an American one, and at first, it's a little bit jarring to watch since fans are so used to hearing Lucifer speak.
2 Best: Ella & Pete
When Ella meets a geeky reporter called Pete, it looks like things will go in a good direction. One of the most shocking twists of the season is the fact he ends up being a serial killer. The scene where Ella discovers a hidden room in his house full of lilies is terrifying and upsetting since Pete seemed like a really innocent person.
1 Worst: Amenadiel Stopping Time
Amenadiel has the worst timing, and even though it's not his fault because he didn't intend to completely stop time, he does it right as Lucifer is about to tell Chloe that he loves her, something that she's been waiting for him to say for over a season. It remains to be seen whether time will resume properly in the next part of Lucifer's final season.
