Trunk nullah to save Gomti from sewage water

Reviewing Gomti’s cleaning and riverfront development project, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has directed irrigation department to build intercepting drains along both sides of Gomti so that sewage water flowing from nullahs into the river may flow downstream without polluting Gomti water. He said construction of this drain was necessary along 14km of Gomti on both banks so that the dredging of riverbed doesn’t go in vain.
