Constable held for ‘harassing’, attacking women

A 35-year-old police constable touched three women inappropriately in the middle of a busy road and later attacked them when they tried to protest his act in Kalyan (E) on Friday. Accused Devidas Chaudhari, attached with Dongri police station in Mumbai, committed the offence in front of several onlookers “shouting that he is a cop and no one should dare touch him”. Based on description by the women, Kolsewadi police arrested Chaudhari from his Kalyan residence the next day morning.
