CATAWBA ISLAND, Ohio — Maybe the discovery was accidental, or incidental, but for at least a couple of decades, the Bomber Long-A jointed minnow has been the king of the Lake Erie shoreline night bite phenomenon and the lure of choice for anglers from Luna Pier to Sandusky who brave the cold and winds of late fall and early winter to pursue big walleye in the dark.
