Brave policeman grapples with huge python found inside car engine
This is the dramatic moment a brave policeman caught a huge python that was hiding inside a car engine.
Officers rushed over when the driver heard hissing noises coming from the silver Honda in Bangkok, Thailand, on November 29.
One of the cops opened the hood revealing a ferocious snake which made onlookers gasp with surprise.
Footage shows how one cop used a bamboo stick to catch the 6ft long snake as it frantically tried to wriggle away. The serpent even wrapped itself around the officer's arm.
Resident Kongsing, who lives nearby, said the brave officers responded without hesitation instead of waiting for the animal rescuers to arrive since it was urgent.
He said: "The car was starting to cause traffic on the road so the officers had to do something about it immediately.
"The policeman did not hesitate when they saw the python. I want people to know the police are always there to help those in need."
The officer holding the stick pinned down the snake before his colleague grabbed its tail and they carried it away together.
They then threw the reptile into the nearby canal so it could return to its habitat away from the buildings.
