UK retailer GAME is teaming up with PlayStation for a fun and free Easter egg hunt on its website - and prizes include four PS5 consoles. Here's when to look for the Easter eggs, and how to win a free PS5 console.
The PlayStation 5 had the biggest console launch in UK history when it released on November 19th. Since then, the PS5 console has been selling out in the UK and everywhere else in the world. With the holidays right around the corner, now is the perfect time to try to win one of Sony's new gaming systems - and, unlike the massive amount of PS5 consoles being sold for exorbitant prices by scalpers online, it's all completely free.
The contest involves Easter eggs hidden across GAME's website. The Easter eggs themselves are the iconic PlayStation square, circle, cross, and triangle shapes. These shapes are hidden on various webpages across the site, but the company will be posting clues on its Twitter and Facebook accounts during the event. Once an Easter eggs is spotted, it will have be clicked on, which will take visitors to a prize entry page. Once all the contact information is filled out, the form can be submitted for the contest.
While the PlayStation 5 is selling out in countries across the globe, GAME's PS5 Easter egg hunt is a fun (and much less stressful) way to try to obtain a new PS5. The event officially kicks off on December 7th, and the PS5 Easter eggs will only be live on the site for a two-hour period. This means people will have to hunt carefully for the PlayStation shapes between the hours of 15:00 GMT and 17:00 GMT each day the Easter eggs are active. The Easter eggs will be on the site on the following days during that time frame:
- Monday, December 7th
- Tuesday, December 8th
- Thursday, December 10th
- Tuesday, December 15th
- Thursday, December 17th
There are over £10,000 worth of PlayStation 5 prizes to be won, including four PS5 console bundles, PS5 accessory bundles, and physical versions and codes for some of the hottest PS5 titles.
