13 Busted over Criminal Charges in Kabul

KABUL, Afghanistan – Afghan National Police (ANP) has arrested at least 13 people over multiple charges in capital city of Kabul Tuesday, said the Ministry of Interior Affairs in a statement.

“ANP operations team has arrested 13 criminal suspects in Kabul City,” said the MoIA in a tweet.

According to the statement, officials seized two pistols after comprehending the suspects under the security pact.

“Two pistols were also seized from the detainees,” the tweet added. “The arrest of these criminals took place within the implementing framework of the security covenant.”

The arrest came at a time Afghan government tighten security measure after a widespread concern over growing criminal offense, including armed robbery and kidnapping, across Afghanistan.
