Zuora stock gains after company announces Stripe partnership

Shares of Zuora Inc. are up 1.7% in Tuesday morning trading after the company announced a partnership with Stripe. Zuora, which runs a platform that enables businesses to set up subscription business models, said it will integrate Stripe's payment capabilities into its system so that Zuora customers can access Stripe's payment-processing and fraud-detection features. Zuora Chief Executive Tien Tzuo told MarketWatch that companies with recurring-revenue models have a lower chance of fraud because they have existing relationships with customers, so they should be able to attract better payment-processing rates. Zuora shares have declined 14% so far this year as the S&P 500 has gained 14%.
