The horror is real outside in 2020 thanks to the coronavirus. Inside, the horror and thriller genres have tried to stay relevant despite many big name delays (The Quiet Place 2, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It). Thankfully, there are always enough low-key horror titles to get into, in any given year. In fact, they're usually the best ones.In 2020, we've seen a number of teriffic thrillers (Blow the Man Down) and noirs (Disappearance at Clifton Hill), as well as horror movies. On TV, gnarly procedurals (Perry Mason, The Alienist) went up against even gnarlier true crime docu-series (I'll Be Gone in the Dark, Outcry). Horror is everywhere, even if you don't realize it. These are the scariest features of 2020.
