The Wilds brought together a group of girls who were told they were on their way to a wellness retreat in Hawaii, but their plane goes down mid-flight, stranding them on an island. As it turns out, the crash was orchestrated as part of an experiment being conducted by the Dawn of Eve. Gretchen Klein, the woman behind the organization, is manipulating the girls to prove that women can lead society better than men can. The show is told in a split timeline, flashing back to the events that occurred on the island and the girls being interrogated by authorities in the present-day about what happened.
