BULLS GAP, Tenn. (Dec. 17, 2020) — Volunteer Speedway owner Landon Stallard has put together a 22-event race schedule for 2021, with the 48th season of exciting dirt-track racing action on the legendary high banks kicking off Saturday, March 13 with the “Spring Thaw” paying Super Late Models $10,000-to-win.
There will also be two other $10,000-to-win Super Late Model events with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series “Scorcher” scheduled Labor Day weekend on Saturday, Sept. 4, and the Castrol® FloRacing Night In America Championship on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
Race fans in East Tennessee have asked for sprint car shows, and “The Gap” will feature the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by MavTV “Tennessee Spring Nationals” on Saturday, May 15. … The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour “North vs South Shootout” is set for two big nights on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 24-25, with the Brucebilt Performance Iron-Man Modified Series co-headlining the shows for the “Open Wheel Nationals @ The Gap.”
The Topless Outlaws Late Model Series will be in action Memorial Day weekend on Friday, May 28.
The American Crate All-Star Series will visit on Saturday, June 5 and later in summer on Saturday, Aug. 14. … The second annual Crate Late Model National Championship is scheduled Friday and Saturday, Nov. 12-13.
The Xtreme DIRTcar Series Super Late Model $5,000-to-win third annual “Grinch at The Gap” will close the racing season on Saturday, Dec. 4.
Weekly racing in 2021 at Volunteer Speedway will feature: Crate Late Model, Sportsman Late Model, Modified Street, Street Stock, Classic, Front Wheel Drive and Mini Late Model, with Open Wheel Modified possibly running once a month.
