TERENCE DANIEL SMITH - 1933 -2020

Terry amassed  438 games for Kettering Town scoring  45 goals in all competitions, which included the Metropolitan and United Counties League games, during the 1950s & 1960s, (unfortunately some of the games are not considered first team fixtures, but 'A' team, 2nd team, etc).  

Terry made 234 first class appearances which in those days were played in the Southern League, FA Cup, and Northants Senior Cup, scoring 6 goals. His debut came against Gloucester City, 16th January, 1954, a 1-0 win for the Poppies.

Terry had played for his regiemnt, the 9th Lancers, in Germany during his National Service, something he always felt fortunate to have done. He was a devoted Poppy always putting the club first and will be remembered as a great and loyal servant to the club.
